Our
Story
We met in July 2008 at the afternoon patio party of a mutual friend. I walked into the party and Jonathan was sitting down playing the Beatles song "Here Comes the Sun" on his guitar, which was, and still is one of my favorite songs. To me it has a spiritual side to it in that it talks about having faith in good things to come after tough times. I immediately sat down next to him, picked up his little red egg shaker and started singing along with him. The rest is history. :o)
We hung out together with the singles group that was at the party for six months before he asked me out on a date. That first date was for dinner at a little Italian restaurant on December 28, 2008, and we have been a couple ever since! :o)
Jonathan immediately convinced me to start playing music with him and singing along, and we did our first performance on stage in March of 2009, only three months after our first date. It took us a while to come up with a name for our duo band, but we settled on "The Boomers" since we played music that was popular when we were growing up in the 60's and 70's as children of the post world war II Baby Boomer generation! :o)
